BRAY, Shirley Ann – of Flint, age 78, passed away July 27, 2015 at Hurley Medical Center surrounded by her children and grandchildren. A Funeral Service will be held 11AM Thursday, July 30, 2015 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd.; Rev. Jim Reid officiating. Burial will be in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 11 AM – 2 PM and 4-8 PM Wednesday. There will also be one hour of visitation prior to the service on Thursday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to The Old Newsboys Goodfellow of Detroit, P.O. Box 44444, Detroit, MI 48244.
Shirley was born in Flint, MI on December 10, 1936, daughter of the late Alfred Link and Eleanor Bean. She married Billie Bray on November 7, 1953 and he preceded her in death in 2010. Shirley’s biggest passion in life was children, not only her children and grandchildren, but many others. She played a big part in whatever they were involved in.
Shirley is survived by her children, Debbie Curtis, Terrie Ayala, Judy Bray (Oliver), Scottie Bray (Stacie); grandchildren, Lisa (Chris), Eric (Julie), Brian (Cari), Misty (Jeff), Chad (Amanda), Tony, Skyler, Britney; eight great grandchildren, Zachary, Katie, Joey, Matthew, Cody, McKenzie, Adelynn, Marek; her brothers, sisters and their families. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Sherry Bray in 2004.
