DOWD, Steven Anthony - of Burt, age 54, died Thursday, May 28, 2020 at his residence. A Catholic Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Tuesday, June 2, 2020 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Montrose, Michigan. Rev. Fr. Jonathan Perrotta officiating. The family will receive visitors at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Montrose on Monday June 1, 2020 from 11AM-8 PM and at the Church on Tuesday, June 2, 2020 from 10AM until time of the Mass. Contributions can be made to the America Cancer Society.
Steven was born October 23, 1965 in Flint, Michigan to the late Leonard and Donna Jean (Harpst) Dowd. He attended Hill McCloy High School graduating in 1984. Steven also completed Chauffeurs Training School 1987. On November 12, 1987 Steven married Jenny Sue Keenan in Flushing. He was an Over The Road truck driver for more than 30 years, residing in Burt for the past 9 years. Steven was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Montrose. A loving husband of 37 years, Steven was a dedicated man, father, and papa who loved spending time with his family and grandchildren. He was fond of farming, fishing, county fairs, spending time with his family, tractors, making candles, family gatherings, and parades.
Surviving are: Wife, Jenny; Daughters: Jazmin Renshaw, Rebecca (Matthew) Haataja; Sons: Anthony Dowd, Christopher (Lindsey) Dowd; Grandchildren: Ayden, Aylah, Alix, Landyn, Alaska, Emma, Carsen, Braden, Lilyanna, Emberlyn; God-daughter: Dana Johnson; many nieces and nephews; Sisters: Donna Ross, Karen Reynolds; Brothers: Paul Dowd, Edward Dowd, Kevin Dowd. Steven was proceeded in death by Brothers: John Dowd, Peter Dowd. He was greeted in Heaven and the first to meet his two little grand angles.
