BRAND, Richard David - Of Genesee, age 67, died Monday, April 29, 2019 at Ascension Genesys Hospital.
Funeral service will be held 1pm Friday, May 3, 2019 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Pastor Darrel Manning officiating.
Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery.
Contributions may be made to the family.
Visitation 11am Friday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Richard was born in St. Louis, Missouri on August 18, 1951, the son of the late Robert James Sr. and Grace Marie (Hallemann) Brand. On September 30, 1972, he married the love of his life, Rose Lee Gwinn. Richard was employed with General Motors until he became self-employed carpenter until his retirement. He loved to tell stories and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
Surviving are daughters, Lenette Dobbins and husband David and Taletha Brand and fiancé, Andre;
daughter-in-law, Nancy Brand;
16 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren;
siblings, Linda Gough and husband Bob, Roger Brand and wife Sue and Charles Brand;
many aunts, uncles, several nieces and nephews and a countless number of friends.
He was preceded in death by children, Richard Brand Jr and Robert Brand, sisters, Pearl Matthews, Judy McKibbin and Robbin Brand and brother, Robert Brand Jr.
