Katherine J. Kiacz of Flushing, age 93, died Thursday, September 26, 2013. A Funeral Mass will be 11 a.m. Monday, September 30, 2013, at St. Robert Catholic Church, Fr. Roy Horning officiating. Burial will follow at St. Robert Cemetery. Visitation will be Noon-8 p.m. Sunday at Rossell Funeral Home and 10 a.m. until time of the Mass Monday at the church. A Rosary will be prayed 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to McLaren Hospice.

Katherine was born in Detroit, MI on February 1, 1920, the daughter of Martin and Anna (Palovich) Slovak. She married Stephen J. Kiacz in Flint on October 21, 1939. He preceded her in death on April 25, 2003.

Mrs. Kiacz had worked at Redmond Company of Owosso for a short time and also worked with her husband on the family farm. She was a member of St. Robert Catholic Church. She enjoyed cooking, playing cards, Bingo, and taking rides on her golf cart with her dog, Missy.

Katherine is survived by: children, James Kiacz, Joan and husband George Pajtas, Frank Kiacz and friend, Joan Stone, all of Flushing; four grandchildren, Kimberly Pajtas, Nicole and husband Dennis Grifka, Frank W. and Jason Kiacz; five great-grandchildren, Chandler and Ben Kiacz, Ashley, Emily and Lauren Grifka; three sisters, Josephine Kadlac, Ruth Taylor, Marion Walden; many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, John, Robert and Martin.
