Reeves, James Carl of Flushing, age 93, died Saturday, July 2, 2016, at his home. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 6, 2016, at Rossell Funeral Home. Pastor Ernie Toppenberg will officiate. Burial will follow at Bendle Cemetery. Visitation will be 12 p.m. Wednesday until the time of the service.
James was born in Flint, Michigan, on August 2, 1922, the son of James and Cornelia (Ruff) Reeves. He married Virginia Glidden in Flint, Michigan, on December 28, 1947. James served in the Army during World War II in New Guinea and Biak. He owned and operated Reeves Bump Shop in Flint for over 40 years. James had his pilot license and enjoyed flying. He was a very loving man who took wonderful care of his family.
James is survived by his wife, Virginia; children; grandchildren; extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. |
