Blower, Robert C. of Flint Twp., age 89, died Friday, April 1, 2016, at Living Joy Memory in Flushing. Cremation has taken place and a private memorial gathering will take place at a later date. Interment of cremated remains will be at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Living Joy Memory.
Robert was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on January 3, 1927, the son of Earl and Margaret (Averill) Blower. He married Jeannette Parent on March 6, 1971, in Mt. Morris, Michigan. Robert proudly served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was employed by General Motors, retiring in 1982, after 34 years of service. Robert was an accomplished pianist. He enjoyed bowling and crossword puzzles. Robert was a member of St. Robert Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Jeannette “Jean” Blower; brother, David and wife Judy of Harrisville and many nieces and nephews. Robert was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Dorothy Hampshire of Pontiac; brothers, Henry Blower of Utah, William Blower and Thomas Blower, both of Pontiac. |
