LESKO, Betty Jane Candace – Of Flint, age 91, passed on Wednesday, September 18, 2013.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, September 23, 2013 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Reverend Thomas Blossom officiating.
Burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
Those desiring may make contributions to a charity of one’s choice.
Visitation 1-8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the funeral home.
Betty Jane was born in Superior, Wisconsin on June 7, 1922, the daughter of Robert and Vera (Eaton) Everts and was a resident of the Flint area since June of 1941.
She was married for 35 years to Michael Lesko and he preceded her in death on June 12, 1988.
Betty loved to travel with her special friend, Jess Yow and play slot machines.
Betty was employed as a meat wrapper for 30 years at Hamady Brothers.
Surviving are sons, Steve and wife Mary and
Dave;
grandsons, David and wife Kerry, Michael and Christopher;
granddaughter, Tina and husband Gordon Pfeiffer;
great-grandson, Evan James;
great-granddaughter, Claire Sophia;
great-aunt, Mae Breezee;
several nieces, nephews;
her friends and co-workers, Shirley, Darlene, Sybil, Doty and many other friends.
