Barbara M. Otis, age 80, passed away on Wednesday, January 24, 2018. She was born in Detroit on October 26, 1937 to parents, Arthur and Nora (Ryan) Conlen. Barb was a devout Catholic and she always remained active in the church. She spent three years at St. Joseph’s Convent in Nazareth before attending cosmetology school to become a beautician. On June 26, 1965 she married Clayton Otis at St. Stephens Catholic Church in Port Huron. Barb is survived by her husband, Clayton Otis; children: James Otis (Michael), Thomas (Katie Gray) Otis, Joseph (Jenni) Otis, and Mary Otis; grandchildren: Austin, Ashley, Isabella, Irelynd, Drew Wischman, and Tanner Wischman; siblings: Patrick (Jane) Conlen, twin sister Beverly Gall, and Jean (David) Andrews; several cousins, nieces, nephews, and close friends. She was preceded in death by both parents; brother-in-law, Robert Gall; mother-in-law, Mable Otis, and father-in-law, Morris Otis. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30am on Monday, January 29, 2018 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 11804 S. Saginaw Street, Grand Blanc. Visitation will take place on Sunday, January 28, 2018 from 1-8pm with a Rosary Service at 7pm at Hill Funeral Home, 11723 S. Saginaw Street, Grand Blanc. The family will also receive visitors at church one hour prior to the service. Interment at Ortonville Cemetery. Those desiring may make a memorial contribution to Holy Family Catholic Church Building Fund. |
