Baumgart, Francis (Dutch) of Flint age 86 died July 18, 2013 at McLaren-Flint. Funeral service will be held 11 am Monday, July 22, 2013 at Dodds Dumanois Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 901 Garland St. Flint, MI 48503. Family will receive visitors from 2-8 pm Sunday, July 21 at the funeral home. A 7pm Rosary will be prayed Sunday. Fr. Robert Copeland officiating. Burial in Crestwood Cemetery. Dutch was joined in marriage to Sheila Grandy (Boudreau) May 12, 1989. He was employed for Buick for 30 years, retiring in 1979 and was a member of Local 599. After his retirement he was very active by working multiple jobs. Dutch was a WWII veteran, he loved bingo, crossword puzzles, he had a great sense of humour and everyone that knew him either liked him or loved him. Dutch was a very laid back individual and he loved to donate to many charities. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and step-father. Dutch is survived by his loving wife Sheila, children Kathleen (Michael) Simmons, Margaret Baumgart, Guy Baumgart, Theresa Hall, Joseph (Mary) Baumgart, Annette (Robert) Eldridge, Anita (Dennis) Shannon, step-children Bridgette A. Grandy, Cheryl (Brian) Crane, Terrence Boudreau, Collette Boudreau, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. Dutch was preceded in death by his wives Ila Baumgart and Judy Baumgart, parents Francis G. and Mary H. Baumgart, brother Arthur Baumgart, Baby girl Baumgart, grandson Ronald N. Grandy, daughter-in-law Rhonda Baumgart and step-daughter Lynne M. Boudreau. Special friends Beverly, L.C., Lee and Marvin at Kith Haven. Special thanks to McLaren Hospital and all the nurses and doctors who treated Dutch with dignity and compassion. |
