O’DONNELL, MAURICE J. age 89, died Sunday, June 28, 2015 at the McLaren Flint Hospital. Funeral Services will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, July 3, 2015 at the Hill Funeral Home, 11723 S. Saginaw St., Grand Blanc, MI. Pastor Sarah LaRose Nettell officiating. Interment at Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Maurice was born November 22, 1925 in Flint, MI. to parents John and Mary (Faringer) O’ Donnell. He retired from the Flint Fire Department in 1979 and was active in the Fire Fighters Association and the U.R.G.E. Maurice served in the U.S. Army. Surviving are childrenMark (Cheryl) O’Donnell, Brian O’Donnell, Kathleen O’Donnell; grandchildren Susan (Curt) Harding, Jeffery (Stefanie) O’Donnell, Shannon O’Donnell, Robert Bruns, Emily Bruns, William Goss; 7 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; special friend Mary Blandford. Preceded in death by wife Patricia March 7, 2001; brother Frank O’Donnell; sister Mary Pingle. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
