PINTACURA, Thomas Samuel, II “Tommy” – Of Lansing, age 42, died unexpectedly at his residence in Lansing on Friday, April 19, 2013.
Funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Deacon Ron Kenney officiating.
Cremation will take place following the service.
Those desiring may make contributions to Peckham Vocational Industries.
Visitation 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Tommy is survived by his parents, Thomas Pintacura, Sr. and Terri Willett;
his sister, Tracey (Jim) Jarrett;
niece, Kasey and
nephew, Dylan Jarrett.
He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and countless others who were touched by Tommy’s sense of humor, love of children and spirit for life.
Tommy was born in Flint, Michigan on October 23, 1970 and spent his younger years at his father’s side at Flint Northern High School. He attended Civic Park and Neithercut Elementary School, McKinley Middle School and graduated from Flint Southwestern High School.
Tommy faced many personal and physical challenges in his life, but handled them with a grace and dignity that was an inspiration to all.
His love of people, especially children was contagious and brought people of all ages, races and religions together, as his smile did not discriminate.
Tommy moved to Lansing with his mother and worked at Peckham Industries. He exhibited a work ethic and ability to always get along with others that endeared him to his fellow employees and supervisors.
Tommy not only loved, but was loved by his family and friends. He was cherished by his family and will be greatly missed. Tommy’s loving way, kindness, patience, humility and ability to forgive are an example to all of us.
He was preceded in death by grandparents, Jack and Ann Pintacura and Francis and Betty Hehn.
