AUTRY, David Lavern - Age 90, of Fenton, died Thursday, August 29, 2019. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 AM Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Road, Holly. Those desiring may make contributions to the American Heart Association.
David was born May 17, 1929 in Flint, the son of Bryan and Florence (Henson) Autry. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He married Anne C. Vernon June 4, 1960 in Flushing and she preceded him in death April 15, 2006. He had resided in Fenton for the past 20 years, coming from Flint. David retired in 1978 from GM Chevrolet Manufacturing after 32 years of service. He was a member of the Flint Fellowship Lodge #490 F.&A.M.
Surviving are: daughters, Denise Autry of Mt. Morris and Carole (Leonad) Franzel of Swartz Creek; daughter-in-law, Jackie (Loren) Arrand of Davison; grandsons, Gary (Barbara) Franzel of Burton, Mark (Delma) Vernon of Battle Creek, and Jim (Tammy) Vernon of Taylorsville, KY; granddaughter, Jessica Gillis of Florida; great grandchildren, Vincent, Dominic, Josh, Ariel, Mason, Cassandra, Jaden, MaHala, Hunter, Airabella, and Ryder; great-great grandchildren, Rene, Lynn, Lane, Madelynn, and Ronnie; brother, Olis (Barbara) Autry of North Carolina; nieces, nephews, and cousins; and dear friends, Barb, Jo, and Lisa.
He was also preceded in death by his parents; step sons, Ronald and Dennis Vernon; granddaughter, Rene Ricca; grandsons, Jeff Vernon and Blake Vernon; sister, Betty Hyuck; brother, Eugene Autry. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com. |
