White, Marjorie A. "Margie" – of Clio, age 79, died Monday, May 8, 2017, at Cranberry Park in Clio. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM, Thursday, May 11, 2017, at the O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Chaplain Hank Messing officiating. Burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Wednesday from 1-8 PM and Thursday from 10 AM until the time of service at 11 AM. Memorial contributions are requested to the Alzheimers Association.
Marjorie was born August 22, 1937, in Farrandville, Michigan to the late Matthew and Evelyn (Hultquist) Donovan. She graduated from Clio High School in 1955.Marjorie married Lester White on August 29, 1958. She earned her degree as a Licensed Practical Nurse from Flint Community College. Marjorie was a dedicated nurse for over 50 years, serving her last 20 years as a hospice nurse. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, and grandmother. Marjorie enjoyed fishing, reading, bingo and spending time with her family.
Surviving are: Husband, Lester of Clio; Sons: Fayne (Debbie) Hodgman of Fenton and Christopher White of Clio; Daughter, Karen (David) Conroy of Haslett; 5 grandchildren: Matthew and Ashley Hodgman, Ben and Ray Conroy, and Briana (Brian) Padgett; Great grandchildren: Isla and David Cruz Padgett; Sisters: Jean (Leo) Belill of Clio and Lucille (David) Mounce of Toronto.
Margie was also preceded in death by 3 brothers: Max (Phyllis) Donovan, Ken (Harriet) Donovan and Bob Donovan and sister, Lorraine (George) Edwards. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Reverence Hospice and the Cranberry Park Memory Care Center staff for their loving and dedicated care.
