RUPP, Donald – At the age of 90, went to his Heavenly home on Monday, August 10, 2020.
Services will be held at Maranatha Baptist Church, 3408 Miller in Flint. There will be a viewing from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., Thursday, August 13, 2020, followed by a service at 1:00 p.m., given by Pastor Don Albright.
Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Grand Blanc.
Donald was born in Martins Ferry, Ohio to Charles and Elsbeth Rupp on March 3, 1930.
The family moved to Michigan in his teenage years.
He served in the military from 1947-1957.
Don then came back to work in Welder Maintenance at the Grand Blanc Fisher Body Plant for 28 years.
Donald then enjoyed his years of retirement at Grand Lake in Alpena, MI before he settled in his present home of Swartz Creek, MI.
Family was everything to Don.
He married his wife of 69 years, Barbara Jean Wheeler, on January 16, 1951. He was a devoted father to Donald (Cindy), Diane, and Jerry (Kay).
He was the beloved grandfather of Daniel, Jason, Adam, Matthew, Sarah, Joel, Rebecca, Shannon and Joshua.
He always made time for his 19 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
With his gentle spirit, he will always be remembered for his cheerfulness, helping out others, and fixing whatever needed fixing! He was a member of the Maranatha Baptist Church.
Donald was preceded in death by his son, Donald; siblings, Bill, Judy and Nancy.
