Mr. Burgess 84 passed away peacefully at his home on Friday October 11, 2019 following a lingering illness. He was born on October 27, 1934 in Hamond, Oklahoma to the late Carol J. & Gladys V. (Stout) Burgess. He was retired from Buick Motors Plant 31 as a millwright. Wayne was a member of the Pinconning Wesleyan Church and the Goldwing Road Riders Association Chapter Y. He loved to travel on his motorcycle that he gave two weekends a year to spend with his family and was known as man that no one was a stranger to him. He enjoyed playing cards, visiting with everyone he met, country gospel music and was known as “Chrome Wheels” among his citizen band radio buddies.?
He is survived by his wife Pauline (Belanger) Burgess whom he married on August 10, 2017 and his children Donald & Marcia Burgess, Connie Faught, John (Judy Daust) Burgess; grandchildren Korrie, Lori, Clint, Jada and Selene; 7 great grandchildren; several step children and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a daughter Bonnie Virginia Burgess, his wives Luella (Dahlke) Burgess and Audrey (Glass) Burgess and a sister Sybil Noyce.?
Funeral services will be held Tuesday October 15, 2019 at 1 pm at the Pinconning Wesleyan Church with Pastor Gene Kelly presiding. Internment will be held on Wednesday October 16, 2019 at 11 am at Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. Family will greet friends and family at the church on Tuesday from 11 am until time of services. Those wishing an expression of sympathy are asked to consider Pinconning Wesleyan Church or Toys for Tots.
