SCHWIND, Christine Elizabeth - of Burton, MI, age 81, passed away peacefully Wednesday, September 30, 2020 at her residence. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11am on Monday, October 12, 2020 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 5191 Richfield Rd, Flint, MI 48506; Fr. Roy Horning celebrant. Interment will follow at Crestwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 11am-8pm at Brown Funeral Home, 1480 E. Hill Rd., Grand Blanc, 48439, with a Memorial Service under the auspices of the Daughters of Isabella held at 6:30pm, followed by a rosary. There will also be one hour of visitation prior to the mass on Monday. Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
Christine was born in Chesaning, MI, on October 23, 1938, daughter of the late Marcus Sr. and Rose (Coates) Sutter. She married Paul G. Schwind on February 23, 1963 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Chesaning. Christine worked as a Registered Nurse at many hospitals, and retired from Hurley Medical Center. She was a wonderful mom, grandma, and friend to many. Christine loved her family and spending time at the cabin, and was a member of many organizations.
Christine is survived by her children, Michelle (Timmey) Jones, Fred (Stephanie) Schwind, Theresa (Robert) Desrochers and Greg (Angie) Schwind; 10 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; brother, Marcus Sutter, Jr.; sister, Mary Ann Kovacs; and many other loving family members. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 40 years, Paul; and many other family members.
