Saunders, Grace E. (Ragan) age 91 of Flint passed away Monday June 17, 2013 at her residence. Per her wishes cremation has already taken place. A memorial service will be held 11:30 am Saturday, June 29, 2013 at Dodds Dumanois Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 901 Garland St. Flint, MI. Family will receive visitors from 10 am until time of service Saturday. Grace was born November 30, 1921 in Gideon , Missouri, the daughter of Hubert L. Ragan and Neva E. Polk. Grace was joined in marriage to her Flint Central H.S. sweetheart, William E. (Gene) Saunders on June 14, 1943. They lived happily together for 48 years until his death in 1992. She worked as a cosmetologist and a machine operator for Helmac Corp., she was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church with a onetime service as a Deacon. Grace was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Those left to cherish her memory are children: Marilou Cole, Judy Saunders Mack, Timothy (JoAnn) Saunders, Susan (Russell) Gilpin and Kelly (Debi) Saunders, 14 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Grace was preceded in death by husband William (Gene) Saunders April 30, 1992 and son Eugene (Pat) Saunders June 26, 1992. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggest to American Heart Association 3816 Paysphere Circle, Chicago, IL 60674 or the American Cancer Society P.O. Box 22718 Oklahoma City, OK, 73123.
