Kietzman, Alfred C. – of Clio, age 84, died Thursday, March 9, 2017, at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM, Tuesday, March 14, 2017, at Messiah Lutheran Church – 520 Butler St. in Clio. Pastor Erik Cloeter officiating. Inurnment at Crestwood Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at the church on Monday from 4-8 PM and on Tuesday from 1 PM until the time of the service at 2 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Alfred was born January 10, 1933, in Flint, Michigan to the late Marvin and Eva Kietzman. He had resided in the Clio area most of his life and graduated from Otisville High School in 1951. He married Geraldine Shaw on December 17, 1955. She preceded him in death on May 23, 2012. Alfred retired from Buick Motor Division with 40 years of service. He was also a member of UAW Local 599. Alfred was also a longtime member of Messiah Lutheran Church. He enjoyed model airplanes, woodworking and spending time with his family.
Surviving are: 4 daughters: Kyle (Matthew) Johnson of Phoenix, AZ., Gayle Kietzman of Mt. Morris, Cathy (Derek) Lancaster of Clio, and Beth (James) Tolles of Clio; 5 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; Alfred was also preceded in death by 2 brothers.
