DOUGLAS, Mary Lou of Fenton, MI, passed in peace Monday, July 23, 2018 at the age of 80.
Mary was graduate of Mumford High School and returned to college to pursue a nursing degree at age 32, after having 5 children. She worked at Botsford General Hospital for several years in the newborn nursery and labor & delivery. Mary was a true entrepreneur, from owning and running 2 businesses, to selling products such as Shaklee and Jafra.
Mary was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church and of the Moose Lodge in Fenton. She was a friend who loved to entertain and had a wonderful sense of humor. Mary enjoyed writing, reading, music and dancing. Most of all, she was a good, strong woman who cared deeply for her family.
Mary is survived by her teenage sweetheart and husband of 59 years, Robert, her children: Terri, Mark, Kevin (Jennifer), Jeff and Kris Vincil (Glenn), her brothers: John Anguish (Christine), Bill Anguish (Patsy), sister Carole DeLadurantaye (Russ), her 12 grandchildren: Ryan (Kathryn), Meghan (Travis), Amanda (Steven), Parker, Colby, Mitchell, Tatum, Cheri, Gretchen, Corey (Bobby), Harrison & Isabella and 6 great grandchildren: Pressley, Bristol, Mila, Remi (on the way), Trace, Ezra, Anna, and many nieces, nephews and friends. She is preceded in death by parents, Frank & Pauline Anguish, and siblings Frankie and Michael.
The family would like to express our heartfelt thanks for the wonderful help and care given by Mary’s devoted caregivers: Laurel, Becki, Sue and Jill and to Heartland Hospice and Wellbridge of Fenton.
Visitation to be held Friday, July 27, 2018 from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm with funeral service at 1:00 pm at Sharp Funeral Homes, 1000 Silver Lake Rd. Fenton, MI. If desired, donations may be made in Mary’s honor to St. Jude’s Ranch for Children in Nevada. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
