Robert D. Walker, age 84, of North Branch died May 30, 2019 at McLaren - Lapeer Region.
Robert was born March 27, 1935 in Flint, Michigan to the late Chauncey and Alice Walker. He married Juanita Thomas on March 12, 1955 in North Branch.
Robert was a past Scout Master and District Activities Executive for the Boy Scouts. He was also a member of the North Branch Masonic Lodge #312, I.O.O.F Lodge 54, and Hirams Hobos #51. Robert was a past Deerfield Township trustee, supervisor, and served as the townships first fire chief. He enjoyed woodworking, camping, playing euchre, farming, but most of all he loved spending time with his family.
Robert is survived by his children: Daniel (Sandra) Walker, Dennis (Mary Jane) Walker, David (Christina) Walker, Diana (Patrick) Siwa, siblings: David (Paula) Walker, Peggy (Lynn) Koltvedt, 13 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Juanita, siblings: Paul, Lucille, Pat, Karen, Bill, great-grandson Ayden, and brother in-laws: Gene, and Corky.
Funeral service 11:00 AM on Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at Jansen Family Funeral Home - Columbiaville, where friends may visit Tuesday 3:00 to 9:00 PM. Pastor Mark Wheatley officiating. Interment Deerfield Township Cemetery.
