CASTILLO, THERESA B. age 78, of Flint, formerly of Port Huron, passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, October 5, 2014. Mrs. Castillo was born September 12, 1936 in Port Huron, Michigan to
parents Isidoro and Estefana Burgos. Theresa was a loving and devoted family woman. Theresa’s life was dedicated to caring for her husband, Rufus and eight children and several grandchildren. She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. She was an avid gardener who took great pleasure in traveling, shopping and going to the casino. Theresa leaves to cherish her memory daughters Mary Adams(Jeff), Patricia Cadiuex(Richie), Ramona, Delores(Sam) all of Flint, Catherine(Doug)Strickland of Belleville, MI, Gloria(Amir)Gharib of Cairo Egypt and Rosa(Anthony)Evans of Jacksonville, FL; son Rafael also of Flint; 19 grandchildren; 20 great-grand children with one more on the way; brother Jesse Burgos and sister Elisa Aguinaga. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rufus, her parents, sister Josie, brothers Joe, Raymond and Benny and great-granddaughter Florentina. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, October 9, 2014 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church G-2316 W. Coldwater Rd., Flint, MI with Father Tim Nelson officiating. The family will receive visitors on Tuesday, October 7, 2014 from 4pm-8pm at Reigle Funeral Home, 5501 W. Pierson Rd, Flushing, MI and on Wednesday, October 8, 2014 from 4pm-6pm at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church with rosary at 7pm immediately following. Interment will be at the Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, MI. Donations may be made in her honor to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church building fund.
