WILEY, Charlie D. - age 78, of Swartz Creek, died April 16, 2024. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Tuesday, April 23, 2024 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek, MI 48473 with Pastor Lynn Pratt officiating. Interment will follow at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, MI. Visitation will be held from 3-8 PM Monday at the funeral home. Charlie was born September 26, 1945 in New Bern, NC, the son of Jasper Virginia and Helen Kathleen (Miller) Wiley. Charlie retried from the United States Army as a Master Sergeant after 21 years of service. After retirement, he was the Service Delivery Manager for Art Van Furniture and owned several companies there after. Charlie was a very talented woodworker and sold many of his pieces at military bases. Before his death he made wooden Nativity sets for all his children and grandchildren, 28 sets in total. Surviving are: wife, Shirley Wiley; children, Kaleen (Bradley) Paquin, Charles (Michelle) Wiley, Kimberli Wiley, Thomas Wiley, and Sergey Grushchin; 13 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; sister, Grace Holland; and countless nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by: his parents, Jasper and Helen Wiley; son, Kevin Danielak; and two brothers, Bob and Ray Wiley. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com |
