FISCHER, Sarah Lynn - of Birch Run, died Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at Genesys Health Park. She was 36 years of age. Sarah was born February 13, 1979 in Saginaw the daughter of Andrew and Theresa (Burzynski) Chernow. She was united in marriage to Dan Fischer on June 26, 2004. She lived in Birch Run the past 2 years coming from Chesaning. Sarah was employed at Nexteer for 10 years. She was a member of St. Stephens Catholic Church in Saginaw and had been attending Saints Francis and Clare Catholic Parish. Sarah was active in the UAW Local #699 and was a proud union supporter. She enjoyed spending time with her daughter, McKenna. Surviving are: Husband, Dan; Daughter, McKenna; Parents, Andrew and Theresa Chernow; Grandparents: Conrad and Angeline Burzynski of Bridgeport, Margaret Periard of Birch Run; Siblings: Andrew (Karla) Chernow of Tecumseh, Daniel (Dena) Chernow of Flushing, Angela (Robert) Beaucamp of New Lothrop; Mother-in-law, Julie Fischer; Sisters-in-law: Christine (Gene) Quackenbush of Burt, Michelle (Bus) White of Prudenville; many special aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; Godchild, Olivia; Godmother, Paula Dils of Frankenmuth. She was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Thomas Fischer. Mass of Christian Burial in memory of Sarah will be held at 11 AM Saturday, January 23, 2016 at Saints Francis and Clare Catholic Parish, 12157 Church St. in Birch Run. Fr. Thomas McNamara officiating. Burial to follow in Birch Run Cemetery. Friends may call at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Birch Run on Friday from 1-8PM and at the church on Saturday from 10AM until time of Mass at 11AM. A parish vigil service will be held at 7 PM Friday at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to the family.
