Paul Eugene Nevels Age 86, of Davison passed away July 10, 2016. Paul was born in Wake, Missouri to Nathan and Myrtle Rose Nevels on October 22, 1929. He came to Michigan in 1949. His spent his career working for the Genesee County Road Commission, The Flint Journal, and the Genesee County Sheriff's Department where he retired as a Lieutenant in 1991. Paul was an avid golfer and loved spending time with his family. He was blessed with two loving marriages, first to Alma Snider who preceded him in death in 1985, and then to his surviving wife of 22 years Peggy Phaneuf. He is also survived by his 2 sons; Steven of Millington and Russell (Valerie) of Vassar, and grandchildren; Stacey, Tammy, Craig, Heather, Paul and Kaitlin, 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. He also leaves behind his step-children; Ellen Phaneuf of Davison, Richard (Cathy) Phaneuf of Columbiaville, Rodger Phaneuf of Flint and Dan Phaneuf and special friend Denise of Burton. A private cremation has taken place. His kindness and wonderful sense of humor will be greatly missed by all who knew him. |
