ROSE, Vickie Lynn – Of Flint, age 61, died Saturday, August 17, 2013 at Genesys Regional Medical Center.
Funeral service will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, August 21, 2013 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road.
Those desiring may make contributions to the Alzheimer's Association or to the family.
Visitation 2-8 p.m. Tuesday and 11 a.m. Wednesday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Vickie was born in Flint, Michigan on July 28, 1952, the daughter of Ross and Frances Duckworth.
She graduated from Grand Blanc High School Class of 1970.
Vickie married David Rose on May 12, 1979 in Flint.
Vickie lived for her grandchildren, loved golf and vacationing in Frankfort, Michigan.
Mrs. Rose was employed by the City of Flint for 18 years.
Surviving are husband, David;
daughters, Michele and husband Guy Champion,
Natalie and husband Brian Money;
step-son, Carson and wife Stacy Rose;
granddaughters, Lily and Lia;
grandsons, Gavin, Blake, Jackson, Luke and Eli;
brothers, Greg and wife Carissa Duckworth; and
Stuart Duckworth;
sister, Judy and husband Bud Christenson;
mother-in-law, Elaine Rose;
several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ross and Frances Duckworth; grandparents, Robert and Vera Stuart.
