HENSLER, Sharon K. - Of Swartz Creek, age 80, died Sunday, December 15, 2019 at Ascension Genesys Hospital.
A Celebration of Life service will be held 11am Friday, December 20 2019 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 402 S. Ballenger Hwy., Flint,
Pastor Harry Edenfield officiating.
Contributions may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church, St. Timothy Lutheran Church or St. Paul Altar Guild.
Visitation at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint, from 4-8pm Wednesday and 2pm-6:30pm Thursday, with an Interment Service at 7pm Thursday evening at the funeral home.
Sharon was born in Saginaw, Michigan on March 10, 1939, the daughter of the late Raleigh Stanley and Elaine Margaret (Knipple) McCray. On June 13, 1959, she married David H. Hensler at Peace Lutheran Church in Saginaw. Sharon was a secretary at several churches including St. Bartholomew Angelican Church in Swartz Creek. She loved to serve others and was a life-long student of God’s word. Sharon was choir director in churches where her husband was Pastor. She was Queen of Crimson Hatitudes in the Lakeville area. Sharon loved to give hugs and receive hugs.
Surviving are husband, David H. Hensler;
Daughter, Kim (Jay) Allen;
Son, Kirk (Donna) Hensler;
Daughter, Krista (Hank) Daniels;
Daughter, Kendra Cage;
Son, Keith (Carrie) Hensler;
13 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
