EISINGER, Duane - Of Genesee, age 81, died Monday, February 27, 2012 at Avalon Hospice.

Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, March 2, 2012 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,

Reverend Harold K. Polk Jr. officiating.

Burial in Great Lakes National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Calvary Presbyterian Church.

Visitation 1-8 p.m. Thursday and 10 a.m. Friday until the time of the service at the funeral home.

Duane was born in Flint on May 16, 1930 and was a resident of the Flint area all of his life. He married Roberta Fader on January 30, 1954. Duane served in the United States Army during the Korean War and the Genesee Fire Department. He was also employed with Buick for 39 years. Duane won the Charles Oliver Citizen of the Year from the Lions Club for Community Service for the youth programs for Genesee Schools in 1986.

Surviving are wife, Roberta;

Children, Michael (Marguerite), Patricia (Roger) Simmonds, Linda (Al) Gillespie and Gerald (Sherry);

11 grandchildren, David, Brian, Daniel, Shannon, Jonathan, Tara, Albert, Jill, Julie, Sara and Jennifer;

11 great-grandchildren;

Brother, Kenneth (Kathleen)

Sister, Dolores (John) Lewis;
Special friends, Booth (Marilyn) Hollister and Mark Hilt.
