HODACK, Jeanne Marie – of Smith Creek, formerly of Flint, age 88, passed away March 28, 2019 at Hidden Lake Senior Living Community. Visitation will be held at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison, on Thursday, April 4, 2019 from 3-8 PM with a Rosary being prayed at 6 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 12:00 PM Friday, April 5, 2019 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 404 N. Dayton St., Davison; Rev. Fr. Andrew A. Czajkowski celebrant with visitation at the church one hour prior to the Mass. Burial will follow in St. John Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children or Alzheimer’s Association.
Jeanne was born in Pontiac in 1931, daughter of the late George and Ellen (Fitzgibbon) Lilleyman. She graduated from St. Michael’s of Flint, Class of 1949, and married her high school sweetheart, Gerald E. Hodack, on April 26, 1952, at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church, Flint. Jeanne was an involved parishioner and founding member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. She retired from Bentley Community Schools in 1992 and enjoyed traveling, reading, snowmobiling and especially spending time at her Lake George cabin.
Jeanne is survived by her children, Steven (Judy) Hodack, Susan (Donald) Higgerson, Nancy (John) Borkovich, Lynda (Jeff) Hopkins and David Hodack; daughter-in-law, Rachel Hodack; grandchildren, Jocelyn (Jennifer) Hodack, Kegan Higgerson, Chelsea and Luke Borkovich, Katy (Jason) Weatherley, Kyle (Jennifer) Hopkins, Kameron, Kellen, and Konner Hopkins, Brenna and Evan Hodack, and Matthew (Mackenzie) Hodack; great-grandchildren, Patrick and Cecilia Hodack, Presley, Colton and Casen Weatherley, Layne and Cody Hopkins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald, and son, John.
