John Andrew Pung, age 43 of North Branch died Saturday, December 30, 2017 after results of a farm accident. John was born December 3, 1974 in Pontiac, MI, the son of Albert and Mia (Barr) Pung. John graduated from North Branch High School in 1993. John was superintendent for Ric-Man Construction Inc, where he was employed for 24 years and he enjoyed farming. He liked spending time outdoors, and watching the wildlife, but he especially loved to spend time with his family.
John is survived by his wife, Jenifer; father, Albert (Barbara) Pung of North Carolina; children, Sydney Pung, Sullivan Pung, Caleb Pung and baby Pung due in August 2018, Savannah Todd, Lillyann Sayen and, Landon Todd; sisters, Sara (Robert) Young of Fostoria and Nicole (Jeffrey) Seeley of North Branch; brothers, Damien (Jamie) Pung of North Branch, Albert (Heather) Pung of Imlay City, Tristan (Samantha) Pung of North Branch, David (Amie) Pung of North Branch, and Sean (Tiffany) Pung of North Branch; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mia in 2007
The family will be present for visitation on Thursday, January 4th 2018 from 2 to 8 PM at Blackburn Chapel-Martin Funeral Home and on Friday, January 5th 2018 from 10 to 11 AM at the North Branch Wesleyan Church. The Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 AM at North Branch Wesleyan Church with Pastor Peter Damaska officiating. The burial will be in St. Elizabeth’s Cemetery in Marlette with Jenifer’s infant child.
