Biddulph, Jack R., age 94, passed away on April 27, 2016 in his home in Oscoda.
Visitation will be on Sunday, May 1, 2016 from 2-5pm at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint. A Rosary will be prayed 4pm Sunday afternoon at the funeral home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11am at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 2415 Bagley Street, Flint, on Monday, May 2, 2016, Father Thomas Firestone officiating. Visitation at church 10am Monday until the time of the Mass.
A proud veteran of World War II who spent four years serving his country in the Third Armored Division, Jack was a man of incredible strength, courage, and unwavering optimism. He fondly recounted his time in the service, only ever speaking of moments of kindness, joy, and humor shared with the people he met during the war. Jack retired from A.C. after 40 years of service.
Jack deeply loved and had great pride in his family. He will forever be remembered as an incredibly kind and dedicated husband, father, and grandfather whose greatest joys in life came from the time he spent with his family.
In passing he has been reunited with his beloved wife, Florence and son, Roddy. Carrying forward wonderful memories of Jack are his daughters, Vikki and Jan Biddulph, and Kim (Bob) Yecke; grandsons Nick (Lindsey) Yecke, Josh (Sarah) Yecke, and Kyle (Eric) Yecke; and great-grandson Andrew Yecke.
Contributions in memory of Jack can be made to either St. John Vianney Catholic Church and School, where Jack was a member of the St. Joseph Workers for many years, or to Hospice of Michigan - Alpena.
