PIEGDON, Alfred F. - Of Burton, age 65, died Sunday, April 17, 2011 at Genesys Hospice Care Center in Goodrich. Per Alfred’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or services at this time. Alfred’s cremains will be interred at Great Lakes National Cemetery. Alfred married Claudia Papcun on July 29, 1972 in Detroit. He graduated from St. Joseph High School, Class of 1964 and served in the Marine Corps during the Vietnam Conflict. Alfred retired from General Motors Grand Blanc Plant as a Tool Maker in 2008 after 39 years of service and was a member of UAW Local #1292. Surviving are wife, Claudia; Children, Lisa (Loren) Morrow, Monique Piegdon, Dawn Piegdon (Leonty Fineran), Scott (Sherrie) Piegdon and Nicholas (Lisa) Piegdon; 3 grandchildren, Michael Lamer, Madison and Nicholas Piegdon; and sister, Christine Koscielski.
