CHADWICK, Pastor Robert Leslie – the spirit of Reverend Robert L. Chadwick, by grace through faith, has entered into eternal life with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on September 30, 2017.
His earthly remains will be viewed from 1-4 and 6- 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road.
On Wednesday, October 4, 2017 viewing will be from 10 a.m. until the time of the Worship Service of Victory at 11 a.m. at Faith Lutheran Church, 12534 Holly Road, Grand Blanc, Pastor Todd A. Biermann officiating.
Burial at Evergreen Cemetery on Hill Road in Grand Blanc.
His earthly remains will be buried alongside his wife, Doris, awaiting the second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Contributions may be made to the Endowment Fund at Faith Lutheran Church.
Robert was born in Saginaw, Michigan on September 12, 1924.
After high school he served 46 months in the U.S. Navy during World War II as a Naval Aviator. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in business at Michigan State College in 1949.
Robert was employed by Chevrolet 19 years and 11 years by Lutheran Brotherhood.
In 1981 he entered Fort Wayne Theological Seminary, having heard the call of the Lord, and was ordained a Lutheran Pastor in the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod in 1983.
After serving 2 churches in Detroit for 9 years he retired, returned to Grand Blanc, and served Faith Lutheran Church and 3 others LC-MS churches in the Flint area.
On May 6, 1950, he and Doris E. Anderson were married.
They were blessed during 63 ½ years with 3 children, Wayne (Michele)
Chadwick, Carol (Gilbert) Barrera and Susan (Guy) French, who gave them 9 grandsons; 6 granddaughters and 9 great-grandchildren.
