Marguerite (Kujacznski) Thompson Age 82, died April 28, 2014. Marguerite was born September 23, 1931 to Charles and Anna (Dainty) Gibbs in Detroit, MI. She was a graduate of Flint Technical High School, Mott Junior College and the University of Detroit. She was a member of Flushing United Methodist Church, Flushing Senior Center, McLaren Auxiliary and a former board member of Shelter of Flint. Marguerite retired from Flint Osteopathic Hospital after 22 years of service, starting as a Registered Nurse and, at retirement, was Director of Marketing. In 1951 Marguerite married Louis Kujacznski. They had four children before divorcing in 1968. In 1984 she married Robert “Tommy” Thompson; a union she said gave her “some of the happiest years of my life.” They were married until his death in 2006. Marguerite leaves to cherish her memory children, Steven (Cindy) Kujacznski, Michael (Mary Nielsen) Kujacznski, Mary Kujacznski, Mark (Brandie) Kujacznski, stepson, Paul Thompson and stepdaughter, Marilyn Scofield; grandchildren, Luke (Laura) Kujacznski, Adam Kujacznski, Rachel (Richard) Butcher, Anna Kujacznski, Nathan Kujacznski, David Kujaczsnki, Jackson Kujacznski, Myckaela Kujacznski, Weston Kujacznski, Christopher Thompson and Michael (Jenna) Thompson; great-grandchildren, Lily and Josie Kujacznski and Charlotte and Henry Butcher. She was preceded in death by her great-granddaughter, Ellie Kujacznski. In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no services. A family memorial dinner will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Flushing Senior Center or the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan, c/o the funeral home.
