RICKARD, Betty Jane - age 71, of Mt. Morris passed away May 14, 2019. A Memorial Service will be held 11 AM Saturday, May 18, 2019 at Richfield Church of the Nazarene 7524 E. Mt. Morris Rd., Otisville. Pastor Jan Duce officiating. Arrangements by Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Flint. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions would be appreciated to the Richfield Church of the Nazarene.
Betty was born February 9, 1948 in Flint, the daughter of Fieldon and Catherine (Dingel) Craig. She married David W. Rickard in Flint on November 19, 1966. Betty graduated from Flint Central High School and Mott Community College. She was an RN and worked at St. Joseph Hospital in Flint and later at Genesys Hospital. Betty retired in 2010 after 40 years of service. She was a member of The Richfield Church of the Nazarene for 34 years and was a member of the Choir and Bell Choir. Betty enjoyed gardening, needle point, and was an avid bowler. She and David loved going to the casino!
Surviving are: her beloved husband of 52 years, David W.; children, William (Patricia) Rickard, Lorie (Nelson) Salyer, and Robert (Emily) Rickard; grandchildren, Michelle, Gunner (Kelsey), Summer, Robert Jr., Austin, Alexandrea, Isabella; great grandchildren, Dontavius, and C 'Andris ; nieces, nephews; and her church family.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Bonnie Krieger. Online tributes may be shared on www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
