SHAHEEN, Elsie Jane (Sedlacek) - Of Flushing, age 88, passed peacefully surrounded by her loving family Saturday, January 25, 2020 at McLaren-Flint.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11am Wednesday, January 29, 2020
at Our Lady of Lebanon Maronite Catholic Church, 4133 Calkins Road, Flint.

Burial in New Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
Contributions may be made to Our Lady of Lebanon Maronite Catholic Church.
Visitation 3-8pm Tuesday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint. A Rosary will be prayed 7pm Tuesday evening at the funeral home. Visitation 10am Wednesday at the church until the time of the Mass.
Elsie was born in Flint on October 25, 1931, the daughter of the late John and Bessie (Chovanec) Sedlacek. Elsie graduated from Flint Technical High School, Class of 1949. On November 13, 1954, she married Mansour Shaheen in Flint. Elsie was a founding member of Our Lady of Lebanon Maronite Catholic Church. She was a member of the Choir, Altar Society and Morning Star.
Left to cherish her memory are loving husband of 65 years, Mansour “Mon”;
Devoted children, Scott (Cindy), Stacey, Matthew and Mark;
Numerous nieces and nephews;
Sisters-in-law, Marie and Rose and brother-in-law, Joe.
Special thank you to nieces, Karen and Joanne and to the ER staff at McLaren-Flint.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Richard, sisters and brothers-in-law, Louis and Elizabeth, Joseph and Anne David, John and Jeanne, Marjorie, Joseph and Louise Rizk, Louis Daher and Shaheen.
