PRITT, David Alan – of Burns Flat, OK, formerly of Mt. Morris, died Friday, March 9, 2012 in Oklahoma. Funeral services will be 10AM Saturday, March 17, 2012 at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio, Rev. E. Lynn Myers officiating. Burial in Mt. Morris Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday from 1-9PM. Contributions may be made to the family for a fund for Leslie and their children.
On September 24, 1984, our miracle baby was born. He was born in Flint, MI and moved to Oklahoma to provide a better life for his family. David was a wonderful father to his boys. The boys adored their father and talked about him like he was a hero. David was one of seven children but was one of a kind. He had an amazing personality that would draw you in. He was very protective over his family and wouldn’t let anyone harm them. David had a way of making a person feel better. He could make you laugh until you cried. No matter what life threw at him he would always focus on others and was a great listener. David always wanted to have a good time. He could sit and have a drink with anyone; by the end of the night that person would consider him a friend.
David’s memory will live on through his wife, Leslie (Graves) Pritt and sons Devin and Connor. He will always be remembered by his mom, Katie, and dad, James Handy; also his father Eugene Pritt. His stories will go on through his brothers and sisters, Sherry Pritt, Tommy (Chris) Pritt, Jennifer (Tod) Fisher, Don (Lori) Pritt, Susan (Dustin) Bigelow, and Kelsey Pritt. David had many nieces and nephews that he cherished. Special family members include Joe Ordiway, The Handy family, his extended family in Virginia and Florida, and all of his close friends. David was preceded in death by: Grandparents, Violet and Clarence Hewitt and Virginia Hayes; Uncles, Clayton and Clarence Lavon Hewitt; and his aunt, Gloria Dawson.
