Bond, Margaret Virginia (Taylor), age 97, of Flint, died Saturday, September 14, 2019. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Thursday, September 19, at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Burial will follow in Evergreen, Grand Blanc. Visitation will be held 4 PM- 8 PM Tuesday, 2 PM - 8 PM Wednesday and 1 PM until time of service Thursday. Ladies of Shrine memorial will take place at 7 PM Wednesday at the funeral home conducted by the Ladies of El Said Court. Those desiring may make contributions to Shriners Transportation Unit or American Diabetes Association.

Margaret was born May 24, 1922 in Leamington, Ontario the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Lemuel and Rose Russelo. She graduated from Flint Central High, class of 1940. Margaret and Earl Bond were united in marriage on August 20, 1942. She worked for AC Spark Plug in Flint for 10 years. Margaret retired from Kroger's in 1977 after 25 years of employment. She was a life member and Past Matron of Flint Chapter #138, Order of the Eastern Star, Past Worthy High Priestess of Temple Shrine #28, White Shrine of Jerusalem. She served as Worthy Scribe for 20 years. Life member and Past Matron of Flint Court #2, Order of the Amaranth. Past Grand Royal Matron of Michigan, Order of the Amaranth, Inc. She was a member of El Said Court #28, Ladies Oriental Shrine Of North America. Margaret enjoyed bowling on various leagues, more for experience than game. She traveled extensively with her husband around the country, Mexico, and Canada. Later in life she took pleasure in trips to area casinos with her friends. She especially was delighted during the holidays visiting her many grand children and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by 3 children, Karen Keim, John (Karen) Bond, James (Bonnie) Bond; 7 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and sister, Patricia White.

Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Earl; parents, Pete and Rose Taylor; grandson, Scott Hilgendorf; 2 sisters, and Phyllis (John) Pierce, Ione Joy Slack, and brother-in-law, Charles White.
