Kenneth Earl Henry, Sr., 73, of Lapeer, died Monday, December 29, 2014.
Ken was born on November 3, 1941 in Charlevoix to parents Roy and Julia (Willis) Henry. He attended Lapeer High School. Ken married Patsy Heck on May 19, 1958 in Lapeer, Michigan. Ken was a truck driver and worked for several different companies through the years including: Lapeer Concrete, D.T. Fowler and Lapeer Metal Products. Ken was an extraordinarily kind and giving man and everyone he met became an instant friend.
Ken is survived by his children: Pam (Dan) Peabody of Manhattan, KS, Debbie (Tim) McCorry of Lapeer, Ken (Dawn) Henry of Lapeer and Kim (Theresa) Henry of Lapeer; nine grandchildren: Jason (Nicole) Peabody, Kristin (Mike) Phillips, Jennifer (Joe) Vanecek, Melissa (Justin) Fick, Patsy Henry, Danielle Henry, Matthew (fiancé, Brook Coulter) Henry, Eric Henry and Scott (Cassidy) Henry; thirteen great grandchildren: Isabelle, Sophia, Charlotte, Alexis, Luke, Averie, Marlie, Cameron, Jacob, Travis, Chloe, Jayda & Braxton (& Monica on the way); brother, Lyman (Sharon) Henry of Valhermoso Springs, AL. He was preceded in death by his wife Patsy Henry; son, Bobby Henry; brother, Fred Henry and his parents.
Visitation will be from 4-8PM Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at Muir Brothers Funeral Home, Lapeer. Ken’s funeral service will be 11AM Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at Muir Brothers, officiated by Pastor Jeremy Lazzell. Burial will be in Stiles Cemetery, Lapeer.
Memorial contributions may be made to Marlette Hospice.
