Denny St. Pierre, age 79, of Columbiaville died December 22, 2014 at McLaren - Flint Region surrounded by his loving family.
Denny was born May 5, 1935 in Quebec, Canada. The son of the late Joseph and Marie St. Pierre. He later married Joanne Albrecht on June 11, 1971 in Fostoria.
Denny was retired from Metamora Plastics. He owned Pioneer Pipes where he manufactured parts for muzzle loading guns. He belong to the Flint Lock Gun Club, two model railroad clubs in Lapeer, and Eastern Michigan Woodworkers Club. He was a member of St. John’s Episcopal Church in Otter Lake, where he was a commissioned Lay Eucharistic Minister. He also once served as a Cub Scout master. He had a passion for woodworking, loved his Farmall tractors, panning for gold, and searching for treasure with his metal detector.
Denny is survived by his wife Joanne,
Children: Brian ( Tammy ) Dow, Denise Bently, Deborah ( John ) Fiedler,
Matt ( Danielle ) St. Pierre, Perry ( Alana ) St. Pierre, Kelly ( Tom ) Hoopes, Jill Grospkoph, Jeff St. Pierre, Stacey St. Pierre, siblings: Andrew St. Pierre, Ed ( Sue ) St. Pierre, Paul St. Pierre, and Lucille Nagy. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Amanda, Nicole, Jenna, Macey, John, Grant and great-grandchild Michael Kade. He was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings Louis St. Pierre and Clare Hoffman.
Funeral service Saturday 11:00 AM from Grace Episcopal Church in Lapeer. Friends may visit Friday, December 26, 2014 from 2-8 PM from Jansen Family Funeral Home - Columbiaville. The Reverend Ann Norton and Sara Park officiating. Interment Wood Lawn Cemetery - Columbiaville. Memorials in memory of Denny may be made to St. John’s Episcopal Church in Otter Lake.
