ELLIOTT, Claudia Marie - Of Flint, age 68, died Saturday, June 17, 2017 at her residence.
Funeral service will be held 12 Noon Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at St. Bartholomew’s Anglican Church, 9252 Miller Road, Swartz Creek, MI,
Father Gene Geromel SSC officiating. Burial in Crestwood Cemetery.

Visitation 2-8pm Tuesday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint. Visitation 11am Wednesday at church until the time of the service.
Claudia Marie was born in North Wilkesboro, North Carolina on June 11, 1949, the daughter of Claude and Ellen S. Stone. She grew up in Battle Creek, Michigan and lived there until she moved to Flint in 1971. She graduated from Battle Creek High School, Class of 1967. Claudia Marie studied Sociology at Western Michigan University. She studied nursing at Kellogg Community College and became a Registered Nurse in 1969. On July 17, 1971, she married Larry Elliott in Battle Creek, Michigan at St. Thomas Episcopal Church. Claudia Marie retired from McLaren-Flint in 2012 after 40 years. She was a member of St. Bartholomew’s Anglican Church where she sang in the church choir. Claudia Marie was also a Girl Scout Leader for 6 years, a member of P.E.O. Women’s Organization and a member of INS Professional Organization. She loved to travel, enjoyed history, and most of all, spending time with her grandsons.
Surviving are husband, Larry;
daughters, Lisa (David) Ritz of Adrian and Rae Ann Elliott (Keith Williams) of Wyoming, MI;
mother, Ellen Rhodes of Battle Creek; sister, Linda Kay Behnke (John) of Galesburg, MI;
brother, Buddy (Carol) Rhodes of Delton; mother-in-law, Jacqueline Elliott of Swartz Creek;
brothers-in-law, Randy (Jeanne) Elliott of Burton and Bill Greene of Paw Paw, MI;
grandsons, Carson, Cameron and Keegan; and many nieces, nephews and special friends.
The family would like to thank Dr. Karen McLean MD, PhD and her associates of the Gynecology/Oncology Department at The University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and Kindred Hospice of Flint.
She was preceded in death by her father, Claude Stone, step-father, William Rhodes, sister, Patricia Ann Greene, and father-in-law, Raymond Elliott.
