REAVES, Marilyn J. - Of Swartz Creek, age 80, died Friday, April 7, 2017 at her residence.
A memorial service will be held 11am Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at Court Street United Methodist Church, 225 West Court Street, Flint,
Pastor Jeremy Peters officiating.
Per Marilyn’s wishes, cremation has taken place.
Contributions may be made to Court Street United Methodist Church or Crossover Downtown Ministry.
Visitation 2-8pm Monday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint. Marilyn will be at the church 10:30am Tuesday until the time of the service.
Marilyn was born in Durand, Wisconsin on May 21, 1936, the daughter of the late Charles and Mildred (Hermundson) Isham. On April 19, 1958, she married Raymond Reaves in Chicago, Illinois.
After attending a one-room school house in Durand, she moved with her family to the City of Flint in 1950 and graduated from Central High School in 1954. She was employed by GM and worked her way from stenographer to buyer, a position she retired from after 37 years. Marilyn had a passion for family, gardening, travel and watching sports-- especially the Detroit Tigers.
Surviving are loving husband, Raymond; son, Mark; daughter, Nancy (Jerry) Davis; son, Michael; grandchildren, Krista (Eric) Weaver; Raymond; Mallory and Mitchell; great-granddaughter, Everly; sister, Priscilla Dodd, brother, Stanley (Patricia) Isham; sister-in-law Joyce Isham; special nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was also preceded in death by her brother, Charles “Chuck” Isham, and daughter-in-law, Tammy Reaves.
