Passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, September 3, 2024 at Covenant Medical Center Cooper surrounded by family and friends; age 66 years. Mike was born on January 22, 1958 in Saginaw, MI to the late Dale and Jeannine Raycraft. He was previously married to Karen Raycraft; she predeceased him on September 13, 1995.
Mike graduated from Douglas MacArthur High School where he was a member of the Chug-a-Lugs Club. He owned and operated Water Wonderland Boat Sales in Clio. After selling that business he worked with his friends at Shred Experts. He was also a member of St. Lorenz Lutheran Church. Mike enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing, riding motorcycles, skiing and boating, but most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends, especially time on the river in West Branch.
Surviving are: two sons, Shane (Alyssa) Raycraft of Holland, MI and their sons Jack and Hank; Dr. Kyle (Jazell) Raycraft of Sault Sainte Marie, MI; stepchildren Ray Atwood and Maggie (Alain) Elian and grandchildren Amira and Gabriel; life partner Kris Beyerlein of Frankenmuth, MI; sister Suzanne Leach of Hessel, MI; stepmother Barbara Raycraft; bonus grandchildren Genesis, Cecelia, Anna, Dagny, Cordelia and Kaspar; nieces and nephews Kevin and Stephanie Leach, Jeannie McGreevy, and Scotty (Jessika) McGreevy; and many, many close friends.
Besides his spouse Karen, Mike was preceded in death by sisters Lynda Brisbois and Julye Raycraft and brother Patrick Raycraft.
Funeral Service will take place on Tuesday, September 10, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Lorenz Lutheran Church, 1030 W. Tuscola, Frankenmuth, Michigan. Rev. Brad Hubbard will officiate. Mike’s family will receive visitors at Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth, 590 N. Franklin St. on Monday from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Tuesday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Frankenmuth Athletic Association or Girls of Grace at St. Lorenz.
