Roger passed away Friday, July 10, 2015 at McLaren - Flint.Age 84 years. He was born September 4, 1930 in Green Bay, Wisconsin to Raymond and Anna (Hipke) Devroy. Roger married Marla Lange on August 4, 1956 in Marinette, Wisconsin. Hewas an engineer with Thompson Boat. Rogerwas a member of Hope Evangelical Lutheran Church. He enjoyed being with his family, Packer Sunday, watching TV, golfing, playing pool with the boys and mowing his lawn.
Surviving are his wife, Marla of 58 years; three sons, three daughters and spouses, David (Tina) Devroy, Sue (Terry) Schlager, Michael (Lisa) Devroy, Ken (Sherrie) Devroy, Donna (Duane) Bilodeau and Lisa (Curt) McGill; 25 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; brother, Jerry (Marion) Devroy and sister, Nancy Jandt and several special nieces and nephews.
Special thanks to McLaren – Flint ICU staff and physicians, Dr. Abdel-Halim and McLaren – Flint Rehab staff and a special thanks to neighbors Larry and Jean Smith.
Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at Hope Lutheran Church, 1123 W. Walnut St., St. Charles. Rev. Jason Baldwin will officiate. The family will receive visitors at the Kendall Funeral Home, St. Charles on Tuesday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. and at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Memorials may be made to Hope Lutheran Church, McLaren ICU, or YMCA of Greater Flint. |
