Jimmie W. Watts

Died: 6/2/2024
Age: 58
Community: Holly, MI

Jimmie W. Watts, age 58 of Holly, passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus with his son, Evan at his side on June 2, 2024. Jimmie was an avid family man, and a friend, mentor and confidant to all who knew him. He was a Mason and retired from DTE after more than 35 years of service in 2023. His life passion was literally helping others, strangers and those closest to him. Jimmie had a special way of connecting with young people of all ages, especially teenagers, and served as a high school youth leader for several years at his church. His son’s friends thought the world of him, and enjoyed hanging out at the Watts home, often looking forward to a quick or special meal Jimmie put together for them. He loved the simplicity of nature and was a true animal lover his entire life. Growing up, he was involved with 4H for many years. As he moved into adulthood, Jimmie raised cows for several years (all had their own special name) and loved feeding the deer and birds that visited his property. He enjoyed every moment watching them, talking to them and seeing if he could get close enough to pet them. Jimmie also had a vegetable garden for many years that brought him so much joy. He spent hours each summer creating a garden that was as bountiful as it was beautiful.
Jimmie is survived by his wife of almost 31 years, Amy (Bidigare). Son, Evan, the light of his life. Father, Jimmie M. Watts. Sister, Kelly Dark (Chris Livingston). Niece and Nephew, Ashlee Dark (Mitch Kelps) and Jarrid (Danielle) Watts. Great niece, Lyla. Mother-in-law and Father-in-law, Karen and Ronald Siegwald. Brother-in-law Eric Bidigare (Michelle Fridline). Sister-in-law Laura (Brett) Bradford. Jimmie also leaves several extended family members, many many dear friends, and his faithful dog, Beau. Jimmie was preceded in death by his mother, Suzanne, brother and life-long best friend, Douglas “Jeff” Watts, and several canine companion who were his fur babies, Dixie, Kaydee, Red, Blue, Sadie, Max, Kimmie and Daphne.
Jimmie’s genuine loving and helpful manner will be deeply missed and forever remembered. He lived his life by the words of Mother Teresa, “Spread love everywhere you go. Let no one ever come to you without leaving happier.”
