McCLAIN, Doris Irene – Of Flint, age 80, died Friday, December 16, 2011. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint, MI 48507. Burial in Flint Memorial Park. Flowers are welcome, those desiring are encouraged to make contributions to Arbor Hospice Foundation Ann Arbor, MI. Visitation 2-8 p.m. Tuesday, December 20, 2011 and 9 a.m. until time of the service Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at the funeral home. Doris Irene McClain was born on November 13, 1931 in Flint, Michigan to Fred and Louise (Hansen) Christensen.
Doris worked at AC Spark Plug for many years in production and was a member of UAW Local #651. She was also an Avon representative for 20 plus years, winning many sales awards. She loved spending time with her family, fishing and gardening. Surviving are three sons, Edward McClain, Carl McClain and Dan and wife Tomoe McClain;
three daughters, Irene and husband Ted Rouster, Susan and husband Alexae Csiki and Barbara McClain; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; four brothers Carl and wife Betty Christensen, Clifford Christensen, Albert and wife Connie Christensen, Leslie and wife Judy Christensen.
