Kenneth “Bud” Matzenbach, age 82, of Columbiaville died December 25, 2016 at home surrounded by his loving family.
Bud was born April 27, 1934 in Columbiaville, the son of the late Ronald and Alma Matzenbach. He served his country Honorably in the U.S. Army. He later married Charlene F. Harris on January 28, 1956. Bud was an avid outdoorsman that enjoyed hunting and fishing, he also enjoyed a good hand of poker, round of golf, and a great game of blooper ball. He was a past member of the Otisville Masonic Lodge #401 and Columbiaville Sportsman Club.
Bud is survived by his loving wife Charlene,
Children: Dan (Lisa) Matzenbach, Cindy (Ed) Karker, Ron (Marsha) Matzenbach, Laura (John) Hall, siblings: Linda (Merle) Wetherwax, and Sally (AL) Carpenter.
He is also survived by his grandchildren: Jake (Maggie), Amanda , Rachal, Jason, Holly (Andy), Mitchell, Savannah (Doug), Samantha, Max (Katie), and great-grandchildren: Jaydyn, Timothy, Jeremy, and Wyatt. He was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings: Frances Edwards, and Kay Kennedy.
Cremation has taken place, and a celebration of life will be held 1:00 PM on Sunday, January 22, 2017, and friends may visit from Noon till time of service at the Columbiaville Community Center, 4620 Water Street, Columbiaville, MI. Memorial contributions in memory of Bud may be made to Heartland Hospice in Lapeer. Arrangements entrusted to Jansen Family Funeral Home - Columbiaville.
