UPTEGRAFF, Don – of Grand Blanc, formerly of Indian River, MI, age 77, passed away Monday, April 3, 2017 at Genesys Health Park. A Funeral Service will be held 1 PM Sunday, April 9, 2017 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison, MI 48423. Cremation will take place following the service. The family will receive visitors from 2-6 PM Saturday and one hour prior to the service on Sunday. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice, in Don’s memory.
Don was born in Davison, MI on January 13, 1940, son of the late Leon and Vera (Lane) Uptegraff. He retired from Chevrolet Manufacturing in 1991 and then moved to Indian River, where he very much enjoyed the outdoors.
Don is survived by his son, Don Uptegraff of Grand Blanc; grandson, Matai; sister, Gail Carter of Cheboygan; nieces and nephews, Mike, Jim, Rick and Nancy Phillips, Mark Keeler, Kathy Benson and Karen Carter; special family member, Janice Catanzaro of Grand Blanc. He was preceded in death by sister, Bonnie Michaud and nephew, Gary Carter. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff of Genesys Health Park for all their wonderful care for Don.
