Shepherd, David Rex - Age 73 of Fenton, lost his battle with Multiple Myeloma on October 1, 2017, surrounded by family. Funeral services will be held at 1PM Thursday, October 5, 2017 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Road Chapel, 209 E. Broad St., Linden. Visitation will be held 4-8PM Wednesday and 11AM until time of service. Those desiring, may make contributions to Adopt-A-Pet of Fenton, Reverence Hospice or Lake Fenton United Methodist Church. David was born November 4, 1943 to Rex and Mary Delia (O'Dell) Shepherd. He was married to Sandra J. Brohn on August 18, 1973. David was the 1959 Soap Box Derby Champion in Akron, Ohio. He was a charter member of Fenton Township Volunteer Fire Department, as a Lieutenant. He was a member of Lake Fenton United Methodist Church. David was a successful businessman, a member of Fenton Lodge #109 F.A.& M, Fenton Moose Lodge and he was an avid fisherman. Surviving are wife, Sandra; children, Ronel (Brent) Sands, Jeffery (Tracy) Webb, Dawn Webb, Shannon (William) Sanford; five grandchildren, Shawn, Megan, Crystal, Philip and Rachel; five great grandchildren, Maddison, Jack, Gabrielle, Beau and Lyla; brother, Victor (Alice) Shepherd; nephew, Victor Jr.; niece, Shari.
