STEWARD, Clarence ‘Lee’ – of Davison, age 85, passed away October 2, 2011 at Devonshire Assisted Living – Lapeer. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service, with military honors will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison; Pastor Daryl Taylor officiating. The family will welcome visitors from 12 NOON until time of service on Wednesday.
Lee was born in Lapeer, MI on January 18, 1926, son of the late Harry and Vina (Dockham) Steward. He married Betty Jean Epler on August 26, 1949 and she preceded him in death on November 3, 2003. Lee was a member of Community Baptist Church, Davison and worked for Fisher Body. He enjoyed walking, watching the Detroit Tigers and Detroit Lions, but especially spending time with his family.
Lee is survived by his children, Michael Steward, Cindy Steward and James (Connie) Steward; grandchildren, Eric, Tonja, Matt, Stephanie, Tiffany, Justin and Jason; several great-grandchildren; sisters, Margaret Hooks and Doris Freeman. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Marla McFarland. A special thanks to the staff at Devonshire Assisted Living Center in Lapeer.
