MOREAU, Earl J. - of Clio, age 89. Earl was born May 26, 1923 went home to be with his Lord and Savior on August 5, 2012. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11AM on Thursday, August 9, 2012 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Mt. Morris. Fr. Thomas Nenneau officiating. Burial at Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio on Wednesday from 1-9PM and Thursday at the church from 10AM until the time of services at 11AM. Contributions may be made to the St. Vincent DePaul.
Earl was the son of the late Joseph and Margaret (Hansel) Moreau and lived in Flint, Mt. Morris, Clio and Frankenmuth. He served in the US Air Force during WW II from 1943 to 1946. Earl married Doreen LaSalle on March 18, 1944. She preceded him in death on June 10, 1999. Mr. Moreau retired from General Motors in 1986 with 45 years seniority. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Mt. Morris, Knights of Columbus and volunteered for St. Vincent DePaul. He was an avid golfer, fisherman and loved spending his winters in Florida with his wife, Doreen.
Surviving are: 8 children, Nancy Mills of Algonac, Christine (Gary) Frank of Clio, Jeanette Moreau of Burton, Dan Moreau of Naples, FL, David (Renee) Moreau of Millington, Lauri Abraham of Barbeau, Ed Moreau of Birch Run, Katie Moreau of League City, TX, #9 Joanne Beckley of Clio; grandchildren, Steven, Stefanie, Mick, Shannon, Tom, Tim, Rebecca, Christopher, Tyler, Brandon, Savanna, Crystal, Nathan, Ryan, Kavon, Kahon and Kayli; many great grandchildren; sister, Ruth (Ray) Schultz of Fenton.
